We'd say the classic definition of a netbook runs something like this:
  • Flash memory
  • A small processor to preserve battery life
  • WiFi Internet access
  • And finally: very cheap
Well, the SurfOne INOS1B meets all of these criteria, especially the last one!

Available from French distributor Rue du Commerce for only 190 euros (260 USD / 150 GBP)--type the model number into the search box on the site--it's even cheaper than Acer's EeePC or the Aspire One.

It's relatively modest processor and RAM offering mean that you won't be able to work any mircales with this machine, but e-mail, surfing the web and editing text documents are certainly within reach.

Here's the full specification:
  • Ingenic JZ4730 (400 Mhz) processor
  • 2 GB hard drive
  • 7 inch screen (800x480 pixels)
  • 3 USB
  • 128 MB RAM
  •  WiFi 802;11 b/g
  •  SD card reader
  • Up to three hours of battery life

Sony have unveiled a new prototype OLED screen at the Createc show in Japan.

Measuring just 27'' from corner to corner, and flexible to boot, Engadget managed to snap some pictures.

As you can see from the sign, it's an incredibly thin 0.3 mm from front to back, though we're not too sure what the rest of it means ...
