On the Nikon D60
In burst mode, our test camera, our Nikon D60 camera can capture a maximum of three images per second, and this card was up to the job.
It coped admirably and didn’t slow down at all over a burst of 30 images.

The Lexar 4 GB Class 6 133x SDHC memory card is part of the manufacturer’s professional range, and is described as perfect for video as well as capturing images in burst mode. Just like the 2 GB SD 133x, two pieces of software are supplied. The first is Paint Shop Pro X, an image manipulation package. The other, Image Rescue 3, is designed to restore photos and videos accidentally deleted or on damaged memory cards.
Very high data transfer rates
The speeds reached by this card are as impressive as that reached by the 2 GB model. Both cards have identical test results which are noticeably better than average. In writing an average size file (a photo of around 4 MB), Lexar only manage a speed of 12.8 MB/s compared to Sandisk’s equivalent which can write at up to 12.9 MB/s.
The 2 GB version of the Lexar card, is, therefore, a little faster, but not by very much. Using the 4 GB card, it would take 5 minutes and 30 seconds to write the entire contents of its memory, 13 seconds longer than it would do using the Sandisk card.
This card is equally impressive when reading the same volume of data. Lexar has managed to produce a card which is exactly as fast as Sandisk’s, reading at up 17.7 MB/s, meaning it would take 1 minute and 55 seconds to completely empty either card.
