Sennheiser HD 212 Pro

The HD 212 Pro are closed headphones distinguished by their very aerodynamic and feather weight design.  There is a padded headband that improves overall comfort.  The design also features good isolation in terms of ambient noise and enables use in all types of environments.  We really liked the 3 meter long cable which means you can use it (relatively) far from the source without any hindrance.

An undeniable favorite

In terms of quality, the HD 212 Pro was one of our personal favorites.  It’s not that it was superior to such heavy weights like the K171 Studio, but rather it offers a particularly ‘’airy’’ and homogenous sound more suited to a greater number of listeners.  In fact, we have no downsides to point out for these very reasonably priced headphones.  Sennheiser indicates a light propensity for basses, which we can confirm, however it doesn’t really affect the overall equilibrium of sound.  Basses are clear with many nuances and are well seated.  Mediums are rather neutral and well represented.  As for highs, they are particularly enjoyable and while not going as high as those on AKG headphones they are still precise.  Overall, there is a little less detail than with the K141 or K171, but the sound is lighter and the stereo image is slightly better.

Finally, the HD 212 Pro is very comfortable.  You quickly forget they are there and the headband and earphones do not cause any fatigue with prolonged
use.
